We are seeking to recruit a Family Support Worker to the Early Help service in Hartlepool. As a Family Support Worker you will be supported with regular supervision, comprehensive training and friendly, welcoming colleagues.
Family Support Workers will be qualified (please see Person Specification for details) to assess the needs of children and families and develop a plan for support to empower families to improve and maintain their overall wellbeing. You will both undertake or support the Early Help Assessments and plans already in place, alongside families and other professionals.
The role involves delivering programs of support to groups of both young people and parent/carers. As an experienced and progressed Family Support Worker you will be requested to mentor and support colleagues on an informal basis.
Progression from Band 7 through to 9 is subject to a progression criteria and the progression approval process.
