The North East Combined Authority (CA) is looking to appoint a Finance Apprentice within the Finance department.
You will gradually learn about key aspects of finance. The broad aim of the role is to deliver effective accounting and control to support the North East CA operational activities.
You will work towards becoming a chartered accountant, which will begin with studying towards the AAT professional qualification, with the expectation that the learner will progress onto a Level 7 accounting qualification upon successful completion of their AAT studies. As well as specific in-house training on the North East CA policies and financial procedures.
This is a unique opportunity to gain real world experience alongside studying towards a recognised qualification.
This apprenticeship typically takes 18 months to complete.
The person
You will hold a minimum of 3 A-Levels (C+) or equivalent qualification.
A-Levels or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Economics, Maths or Physics will be seen as desirable.
