Full Time Upper Key Stage 2 Class Teacher

Main or Upper Pay Scale

Start date: January 2018

From September 2017, Belsay School has expanded to become a Primary School.
The Governing Body of this outstanding rural school is seeking to appoint an inspiring and engaging teacher, who shares our vision of “Aiming High, Working Together and Achieving Excellence” to join our existing team.

The role is ultimately to teach mixed year group year 5/6. In the first instance this will be a small Year 5 class.

You must be passionate about making a difference for every child and dedicated to the creative nurturing ethos of our school; please detail your strengths, curriculum expertise and areas of interest on your supporting letter.
This post is suitable for teachers who have experience of Upper Key Stage 2 class teaching; you will have excellent classroom practice and high expectations of children’s work and behaviour.

Belsay School is an integral part of the local community with a strong dedicated team of staff, parents and governors and as such we are seeking someone who can demonstrate a commitment to working in close partnership with parents and carers.

We welcome enquiries and are planning to have two visit sessions to school; Tuesday 10th October at 9:30am and Thursday 12th October at 4:00pm, please contact Sandra McGovan on 01661 881641 or email Sandra.mcgovan@belsay.northumberland.sch.uk

To apply, please download and read the application pack and complete the application form, ensuring your supporting statement demonstrates why you are suitable for this particular role. We follow safer recruitment practice and appointments are subject to satisfactory DBS certification and references. Completed application forms should be returned directly to the school, as a paper copy, no later than noon on Wednesday 18th October. Interviews will be held on Monday 30th October.
