Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums (TWAM) is a large and successful archive and museum service managing nine venues in Newcastle, Gateshead, North and South Tyneside. The museum collection reflect a period of collection of over 200 years and number approximately nearly 1.1 million items, while the archive collections are among the largest in the country.
This is an exciting time to join TWAM, as it starts work on a 4 year project, to make sense of the world through compelling stories of heritage, art, culture and science and welcome £1.5 million visitors a year. Arts Council England has awarded TWAM £12.5m, and we need to secure the support of philanthropists, trusts, foundations and companies to raise a further £2m by 2022.
To support TWAM’s fundraising efforts, we are looking to recruit a Fundraising Development Specialist – Major Gifts and Sponsorship. You will be responsible for delivering ambitious income growth plans to 2022 and beyond. A key focus of the role will be to develop a major donor strategy, engage high value supporters, set up a Prospect Planning Group and create a patron member programme for individual and corporate donors.
