Further Information
The Council owns a stock of approximately 6,700 rented dwellings, garages and shops, and operates an Integrated Housing Management software system, which includes modules for Repairs & Maintenance, Allocations & Lettings, Rent Control & Arrears and Estate Management. It is one of the Council’s largest software applications and has interfaces to other major systems within the organisation.

We have a vacancy with responsibility for user support, provision of management reports, system maintenance and testing for this system.
The post also includes some responsibility for supporting a separate choice based lettings system and an environment and public protection system.
This is an excellent and attractive career opportunity for a person who wishes to work in a team environment with considerable user contact, and to further their development and experience in the management, control, security, day to day operation and future development of a key software system.
Experience in relational databases, enduser software applications, MS Office applications, an aptitude for analytical project based tasks, an ability to identify enduser requirements, customer focus and good written and oral skills are all essential.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience of documenting applications and producing user guides, a working knowledge of parameter driven software and the ability to prepare management reports using computer query languages including SQL and MS Reporting Services.
Experience of housing management computer systems in a Social Housing organisation is also desirable.
