Northumberland County Council, on behalf of the North East Combined Authority, has an exciting vacancy to work as part of the North East Mental Health Trailblazer team. The project is taking an innovative approach to supporting jobseekers with mental health conditions into employment in partnership with providers of mental health therapies.

The key post of Lead Performance Officer will manage a team of employment coaches based in multiple locations, monitoring and driving performance to ensure quality standards and outcome targets are achieved.

The successful candidate will have proven people management skills and an ability to manage performance and motivate staff to meet individual targets. There will be a track record of successful programme delivery and experience of taking an effective partnership approach. An excellent understanding of the North East labour market and programmes to support people into work is essential.

The post is based in County Hall, Morpeth, but requires regular to travel to manage staff based with psychological therapy teams across Northumberland, Tyne and Wear and County Durham.

The post is part funded by the European Social Fund

This is a fixed term appointment for 18 months. The post is open to secondment opportunities.
