This post is a key function within the Community Learning Service part of Middlesbrough Council. To deliver training and carry out assessments on Intermediate Apprenticeship and Advanced Apprenticeship programmes within Business Administration and Public Sector standards.

This vacancy may be of interest to someone who has been working at a professional level within the Business and Administration/Customer Service Sector and who would be interested in a career or career development in a Teaching and Assessing role.

The successful applicant will be able to:

• Assist in the development and deliver all components of the apprenticeship model that includes initial assessment, induction, development of individual learning plans, training and assessment and learner reviews
• To support the delivery of functional skills (English, Maths and IT) and ensure they are embedded into the apprenticeship programme and learners who need to achieve functional skills qualifications receive the appropriate support and training
• Use a range of assessment methods to capture the learner’s competence within the working environment
• Involve the learner and employer in reviewing the learners progress towards completing their apprenticeship programme and developing the relevant occupational skills to meet the needs to their employer
• Continue to develop self to ensure skills and knowledge is sufficiently up to date to effectively deliver apprenticeship models
• To prepare learners for end point assessment
