An opportunity has arisen for a Learning and Development Officer to work within the Durham Employment and Skills Service.

The post is responsible for the direct provision of high quality training and development activities to support learners to improve their skills and knowledge, through the provision of focussed accredited and bespoke programmes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning, development and delivery of training / development programmes, producing Scheme of Work, Lesson Plans and resources as required. Delivering high quality training and development programmes against identified targets - enabling learners to maximise their individual potential to support the team in the delivery of external contracts.

We are ideally looking for someone who has a Health and Safety/Construction specialism.

Applicants should possess:-

• a recognised training / teaching qualification, e.g. City & Guilds 7307,
7407, Cert Ed, or appropriate professional qualification and relevant
experience,
• hold A1/V1 (D32/33) or equivalent,
• hold a Level 4/5 Subject Specialism and
• hold IAG Level 4 or working towards.
