Post: Learning Technologist (Durham Learn)

Durham County Council’s Adult Learning & Skills Service are seeking to appoint a Learning Technologist to work on Durham Learn, a new flexible learning fund project funded by the Department of Education. The Learning Technologist will be play a key role within Durham Learn, with responsibility for ensuring course content is designed, developed and deployed via the services’ Virtual Learning Environment.

The Learning Technologist will have technical and creative expertise and be collaborative in their approach to developing digital learning content, user experience and interactions. The post holder will be expected to think creatively about solution design and quickly engage with new technologies and delivery platforms.

This position is suited to someone who enjoys working with the latest technology, has a willingness to learn, pays attention to detail, and who interprets instructions correctly and efficiently to ensure they deliver on time. We’re looking for energy, enthusiasm, tenacity and a willingness to create innovative solutions that ensure the best experience is delivered not only to the learner but also to internal teams facilitating the students on the Virtual Campus.

Required qualifications: A graduate or equivalent with at least two years’ experience of working with learning and web technologies
