Further Information
To undertake a variety of horticultural activites including maintenance of flower and shrub beds, grass cutting, maintenance of bowling greens and football pitches, litter picking, emptying litter bins, path edging, inspection of play equipment, etc. The apprentice will also be involved in public events organised at the park. In the first instance, the apprentice will work as part of a small park maintenance and development team using hand tools only in the first instance. Subject to the apprentice demonstrating satisfactory aptitude and progress, training in the mechanical tools (hedgecutter etc) could be offered.
The successful apprentice will be motivated, committed and enjoy practical work in an outside environment with varying weather conditions.
