Sunderland City Council is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Licensing & Enforcement Officer to assist in the promotion and safeguarding of public safety through the operation of an effective and efficient licensing and regulatory regime.

The successful applicant will have a proactive attitude and will undertake a range of enforcement duties to ensure that businesses comply with relevant legislation and licence conditions. The role also involves processing applications, the issue of licences and permissions and the preparation of reports.

The post holder will also proactively engage with businesses, trade representatives, licence holders and applicants along with other partner agencies involved in the regulation of licensable activities.
