Newcastle City Council Revenues and Benefits Team has recently undergone major transformation by implementing new and leaner operating models. We are looking to recruit an experienced officer to join our successful and dynamic team.
As a Local Taxation and Housing Benefit Officer you will be responsible for assessing customer’s liability for Council Tax. You will work as part of a team dealing with all aspects of Council Tax and although training will be provided, ideally you will have experience of working in this area or working within financial or customer services environment. You will also require excellent communication skills and the ability to process high volumes of work accurately within prescribed deadlines.
