Further Information
Venez à notre école merveilleuse!

We’re seeking an MFL teacher for September!

“Pupils are extremely happy in school and are excited by their learning…The school is a ‘learning family’ where all staff are good role models”. (Ofsted)

We are seeking an MFL teacher to teach French at Grangetown from September 2017 (salary: MPS/UPS, according to experience). This vacancy presents an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a school which is highly committed to a strong international dimension within the Curriculum.

Since 2013, we have taught Spanish. However, with our current MFL teacher moving on, we are now hoping to offer French – this fits-in with the language taught in the secondary school that most of our pupils attend, and will therefore contribute positively to transition.

The role involves teaching across years 2–6, over two days each week. This provides PPA cover for class teachers. Ideally, we’d like the two days to be Wednesday and Thursday (to link with our other PPA teacher). The post is for 1 year, in the first instance (subject to review in Summer 2018).

Are you an excellent teacher who:
•Has qualified teacher status.
•Is a fluent French speaker.
•Is committed to high standards of achievement.
•Is dedicated, enthusiastic and creative.

We will offer you:
•A positive ethos that celebrates success and values teamwork.
•Fantastic children who love learning!
•Supportive, hard-working colleagues who care passionately about our school.
•The chance to teach in a climate of trust and respect.
•A strong commitment to your continued professional development.
•A healthy budget for French resources.

Visits to the school are very welcome. Please contact the school office to arrange this.

Closing date: Monday 5th June Interviews: Wednesday 14th June
