A secondary school in Northumberland is working with First Class Supply to appoint a Male PE Teacher to cover a maternity leave from September 2018 – May 2019. The position is on a part time basis to teach Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 three days per week.

A thriving 13-18 community high school, it is larger than average and places great emphasis on building positive relationships in school, amongst the students themselves and between staff and students. This high achieving school has recently enjoyed outstanding GCSE and A Level results with attainment well above the national average. The school has been praised for its inclusive nature actively promoting positive values.

To be successful in this role you must:
  • be an enthusiastic and committed teacher with vision, drive and commitment
  • be proficient in planning, assessment and target setting so that all pupils make good progress
  • successfully contribute to high levels of pupil achievement
  • consistently teach inspirational and varied lessons
  • hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
  • have recent experience / knowledge of teaching PE at Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 within the UK National Curriculum.
