Further Information
Net Zero Hub Programmes Manager
Tees Valley Combined Authority
North East and Yorkshire (NEY) Net Zero Hub
Location: Darlington / Informal Hybrid Working Arrangements

The North East and Yorkshire Net Zero Hub is at the centre of the region’s ambitious efforts to drive a low-carbon, clean-growth future.

Funded by the Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the Hub is one of five across the country, all focusing on helping the UK reach Net-Zero carbon emissions by 2050.

Our Hub combines six Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) in the region, bringing local authorities, businesses, organisations and communities together to help us achieve our goals through various programmes of work and capacity support for Local Authorities.

A Net Zero Hub Manager and small core team are based in Tees Valley Combined Authority with a Hub funded Energy Project Manager based in each of our six LEP areas. The LEPs are driving the transition to a zero carbon economy with ambitious energy strategy and innovative project delivery.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Programme Manger to join the North East & Yorkshire Net Zero Hub team. This role will work collaboratively within the Hub to drive effective and transparent net zero development activity across the region. The role will contribute to the development, delivery and quality assurance of a broad programme of work focussed on accelerating activity linked to energy efficiency, generation, storage, and addressing fuel poverty.

The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator and excellent communicator, with experience of robust project/programme delivery. They will be able to appraise project proposals to create a credible pipeline and exercise sound financial management and monitoring of delivery against agreed targets, KPIs and outcomes. They will be solution driven and able to effectively respond to challenges in a calm and objective manner.
