Cleveland Police are seeking candidates who are experienced users of Niche for the position of Niche Administrator.

In this role you will be responsible for the maintenance and development of the key recording system for operational policing – Niche Records Management System (RMS). As well as maintaining user accounts, templates, workflows and other administrative activities you will take a key role in the development and improvement of the usage of the system through liaising with business areas to meet local, national and legislative requirements.

Applications are welcomed from candidates who have excellent IT skills and knowledge of Niche. Candidates who are adept at making strong working relationships will be suited to this role as you will work with various teams to ensure the continuous improvement of the system. You will at times have to manage conflicting demands so excellent prioritisation skills are required, as well as an organised and methodical approach to your work.

This post will provide the opportunity to be involved in projects where you will be able to make a real difference to the ways in which Cleveland Police carries out its work. A forthcoming project is for Digital Case File (DCF) which is a collaborative project, bringing together policing and criminal justice partners, and aims at achieving better experiences and justice outcomes for both the public and police officers. The project will;

Make case file processes easier and quicker and allow forces and the CPS to share case information quickly and securely, simplifying the disclosure of evidence in court.
