The Headteacher and Governors at Bensham Grove Community Nursery School are seeking to appoint a new caretaker to join our team from April 2019.

Bensham Grove Community Nursery School is an outstanding (Ofsted November 2017), popular and well respected school providing high quality early years education, with an excellent reputation both within the local and wider community. Our school is a warm and welcoming place to work with friendly dedicated staff, enthusiastic children and supportive parents and governors.

Hours of working: Split shift 15 hours per week. 6am - 7.30am and then 5pm - 6.30pm Monday to Friday. Occasional need for weekend work paid as overtime.

We would like a caretaker to look after our school who:

enjoys working as part of a professional team, supporting the school community, including staff, children and visitors.

has high professional standards, is polite, well-mannered and presentable

has an excellent attendance/punctuality record.

has a flexible attitude. You will, as part of this post, be subject to emergency call outs at any time day or night.

has the ability to independently maintain all statutory and expected non-statutory paperwork to a high professional standard.

is able to manage the health and safety of yourself, the school staff and any workers on site.

will attend child protection training and a range of health and safety related courses as required by the Headteacher.

has the necessary skills to conduct repairs in and around school as necessary.
is able to independently manage the recycling needs of the school when dealing with the disposal of waste.

has a range of skills that would support the maintenance of the school. For example, internal and external painting, gardening etc.

is able to provide two fully supportive references. One must be from your most recent employer.
