Further information

The post of Deputy Registrar involves dealing with people at the most emotional times of their lives – registering births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships. The job is demanding, but very rewarding. As a casual member of staff, you will assist the Superintendent Registrar and a team of Registrars at times when the service is busy, including weekends. Good flexibility and availability are therefore essential for this role and you may be called upon to work at short notice. We’re looking for someone with outstanding front line customer service skills, someone with a sharp mind for processes and legal requirements and a keen eye for attention to detail, as well as being professional in their nature and behaviour.

Experience of working in a Register Office is desirable although not essential as training will be provided.
