We are looking to recruit a casual pool of staff to be casual/relief Passenger Assistants within our Integrated Transport Unit. A Passenger Assistant is employed to accompany both children and vulnerable adults on their journey between home and school or to enable them to access other services.
Our Passenger Assistants are the link between parents/carers and service provider staff and represent Middlesbrough Council. They are there to ensure the passengers safety and wellbeing and that transport is a comfortable and happy environment.
Statutory training is given to all Passenger Assistants such as first aid. Specific training is available to Passenger Assistants dependent upon the needs of the individuals they are responsible for, such as autism awareness or epilepsy.
