Are you an experienced, dedicated early years practitioner looking to make a lasting impact? Tyneview Primary School is seeking a proactive, compassionate, and highly skilled Level 4 Support Assistant to oversee and manage our Pre-School setting.

The successful candidate will supervise whole classes, lead and deliver agreed learning activities, oversee group work, and supervise other support staff. Working under the general guidance of senior leadership, you will foster a nurturing, inclusive, and high-quality learning environment where our youngest learners can flourish. 

We are looking for a colleague who has: 
  • NVQ 2 or 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience. 
  • Experience of advancing progress of pupils of relevant age within a learning environment. 
  • Experience of managing pupil behaviour and supervising pupils under an agreed system of supervision and processes for integrated working.
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults and in particular able to establish positive relationships with pupils.
  • Ability to respond positively and effectively to unexpected problems and situations.

The post is term time only plus 5 training days, starting in January 2027, and is fixed term to 31st August 2027.
