An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Public Health Practitioner to join the Public Health team within Sunderland City Council. The team is committed to the challenge of delivering improvements in health outcomes and reducing health inequalities for local people.

We are seeking an individual with drive and ambition to be part of our adult health improvement team and to provide leadership in relation to integrated wellness and building public health capacity.

You will be responsible for leading and contributing to multi agency and partnership networks, contributing to strategic plans and programmes to address health issues and health inequalities, commissioning services and delivering against the public health outcomes framework. An ability to be responsive to new and emerging priorities is required. The post will offer the opportunity to be involved in different aspects of Public Health, and flexibility is important.
