Permanent / Term time only + 5 days / 26 hours per week
The head teacher and governors of Silver Tree Primary School are seeking to appoint an outstanding, enthusiastic, passionate and committed pupil welfare officer to join our successful, dedicated team in our welcoming and caring school, graded Good by Ofsted in June 2018.
The successful candidate will assist with the growing number of families and children where emotional, social and health issues in the family are impacting upon the children’s ability to successfully access education and achieve their full potential.
They will:
• work inclusively with parents/ carers to encourage parental involvement in the development, delivery and monitoring of services provided by the school.
• support staff and children who have been removed from the classroom due to inappropriate behaviour
• monitor and oversee the behaviour systems effectively
• assist in the development and delivery of educational support packages which will provide guidance for the children and their families to better enable children to overcome barriers to learning and achieve more successfully in school
