This post provides an exciting opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated, forward-thinking Operations Manager to join the Environmental Services and Safer Neighbourhoods team, committed to delivering the council’s ambition for a great place to live, work and visit.

You will play a key role in leading a large frontline team providing street cleansing, pest control and seafront management services, ensuring services are delivered to the highest operational standards.

We are looking for an inspirational, energetic individual with a proven ability to lead, develop and motivate individuals and teams. The successful applicant will have experience of managing a large multi-disciplinary workforce delivering frontline services.

You will have strong legislative knowledge, good political awareness, experience of managing large budgets and high standards of health and safety and performance management. We’ll expect you to have excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to work collaboratively with other council services and external partners to implement service improvements.

You will be committed to delivering a great customer experience, providing high quality customer focused environmental services in line with the council’s Customer Service Programme.
