Could you help to make our school ‘Outstanding’? In July 2013, Ofsted judged Greenfields to be ‘Good’ in all areas; but we believe that ‘Good’ is simply not good enough for our children.

Having just undertaken a restructure of middle leadership at Greenfields, we are now looking to recruit an outstanding leader to this exciting new post.

The new Upper School Leader will be responsible for:

• SEN policy and its implementation, as the school Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, demonstrating a wholehearted commitment to achievement and inclusion;
• progress and achievement of pupils throughout Key Stage 2, using deep understanding of how assessment for learning leads to improvements on outcomes for children;
• progress and attainment across school within a core subject, with high expectations about what children can achieve in that subject and the subject knowledge to enable children to meet those high expectations;
• supporting the Headteacher and other members of the Senior Leadership Team in the management and organisation of the school;
• leading by example as an exemplary teacher, with an exceptional track record of promoting pupil progress and providing inspirational learning experiences;
• leading by example as a middle leader, acting as a professional role model for staff, promoting teamwork and trust throughout school;
• assisting in the development and implementation of school aims, procedures, policies and practices, to improve the quality of teaching and learning; and
• leading on school improvement priorities linked with the key aspects of the role, having the experience in effectively moving a team, priority or initiative forward.

Greenfields Community Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant employment checks deemed appropriate.

Visits are strongly encouraged. Please contact the school office - tel. 0191 6432801 to arrange a convenient time.
