An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our highly performing Sport and Leisure team. The Parks Sports Centre would like to recruit a 19 hour per week GP Referral Instructor to work at our Contours gym which is based in North Shields. The multifunctional fitness suite is part of a facility opened in 1998 and our Contours package offering 5 gyms 4 pools and a range of exercise classes. In addition, the facility has as a 3G pitch, outdoor playing surface for tennis and netball, sports hall, dance studios and indoor and outdoor bowling facilities.

The main duties of the role are to provide the day-to-day operation of the Contours fitness suite and to support public health priorities. This will include promotion of healthy lifestyle advice, personal fitness assessments, as well as GP Referrals and the rehabilitation of customers.

The successful candidate must be able to commit to the fixed working pattern of both Saturdays and Sundays 7:45 am -17:15 pm.
