A Newcastle primary school is working exclusively with First Class Supply to appoint a Reception teacher. The position will commence after Easter and will continue until December 2018 on a full time basis.
The school has a rich and varied curriculum which supports a child-centered approach to learning, which follows and extends children’s own interests and promotes active and meaningful learning and purposeful play. The school has a commitment to a healthy lifestyle and teaching children to love and respect their world. The school also follow a Forest School Ethos which the children benefit from greatly. There are also opportunities to work with children within the special needs spectrum, therefore experience of learning difficulties, behavioural difficulties and Autism would be beneficial.
To be successful in this role you must:
- be a creative and pro-active practitioner
- have an enthusiasm and passion for teaching with the capacity to inspire and nurture children
- demonstrate a positive impact on pupil development
- hold a relevant teaching qualification and QTS
- have a recent, comprehensive understanding of the EYFS UK curriculum and assessment.
