About the Team
We are looking to recruit a Recruitment Campaign Manager which sits within the Government Economic & Social Research Unit (GESR) of the Economics Group. The Economics Group leads HM Treasury’s analysis of developments in the UK economy and advises ministers on the implications for the Government’s economic strategy. It provides expert economic analysis and advice for Ministers. The Group’s data hub is transforming how the Treasury uses data across its entire business. The Group collaborates with external experts on the UK economy, including the Bank of England, Office for Budget Responsibility and leading academics. The GESR and Economics Group provide support for the UK Government’s economics and social research professions, including running centralised recruitment and the annual conferences.
The GESR is a friendly team providing support to the Government Economic Service (GES) and Government Social Research (GSR) professions, which have over 3,000 and 1,800 members respectively. The team reaches right across Government and works with external organisations on shared agendas including expanding diversity in recruitment and improving policy making. At the same time, this is combined with all the advantages of working inside HM Treasury.
About the Job
In this role, you will:
- Support the Head of Recruitment and Recruitment Manager in the planning of end-to-end processes for the centralised GES recruitment schemes, to provide timely and high-quality resources across the Civil Service, on a yearly basis.
- Lead your allocated campaign and actively manage all steps of the recruitment process, including the communication to candidates, the interaction with partners across the Civil Service and the actions on the digital applicant tracking system i.e. VX/Oleeo.
- Build strong relationships with recruitment partners and support the continuous improvement of resourcing processes in line with employment legislation, Civil Service Recruitment Principles and recruitment compliance reports.
- Contribute to recruitment campaign reporting
- Act as first point of contact from members of the public and GESR associates by responding to recruitment queries via the GESR shared mailboxes, providing expert advice or solutions to recruitment concerns.
- Manage HR data regarding assessors and other recruitment parties, by keeping internal and external records updated, preparing and interpreting basic HR reports.
- Be proficient in planning and prioritisation techniques, to be able to support management effectively, to maintain, develop and implement HR systems, including Vx/Oleeo, to enable effective delivery of recruitment work across the team.
The successful candidate will have experience of delivering a high standard of service within a volume recruitment environment, meeting defined quality and efficiency requirements. You will an ability to communicate clear and concise information effectively to a variety of partners, doing so pro-actively and through various mediums. You’ll be capable of coordinating and managing your workload autonomously in a deadline driven environment, reacting appropriately to changing and conflicting needs.
