Bedeburn is a short break service providing short breaks for up to 6 children and young people, aged 6-18 years.

You will be required to work directly with children and their families, their relatives and other professionals to achieve the maximum quality of life for the individual.

You will be required to work with children and young people with emotional, behavioural and learning difficulties and disabilities in which personal care will be required. You will monitor children and attend to their needs in line with their individual care plans as well as recording changes and writing summary reports of each individual child’s stay.

You will be required to work as part of a rota, which will include weekend working.

We are committed to protecting and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. This post is working in regulated activity. If you are successful we will undertake additional recruitment checks which will include a check to see if you have had any criminal convictions, a check of police information and we will check the relevant barred list(s). It is a criminal offence for a barred individual to apply for a job in regulated activity.
