Further information

You will join the team responsible for deciding claims for benefit, deciding liabilities for Council Tax and Business Rates, collecting debts, and providing high quality advice to our customers on the telephone, face to face at the Town Hall and via correspondence.

You should have approximately one year’s recent experience of working in Housing Benefits or Local Taxation. A confident, but sensitive approach to customers with an ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines is also required. You should be numerate, able to liaise effectively with external agencies and have experience of using computers.
