SCHOOL BUSINESS MANAGER

We are looking for a talented and suitably qualified professional to join our team in supporting the school to achieve its strategic plan. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and hardworking, with proven skills and experience in financial management and a strong commitment to teamwork. You will have a proven ability to manage a diverse range of school support services, including financial management, administration, catering, site and facilities, lettings and health and safety.

The successful candidate will:
• hold a degree or School Business Manager qualification
• have sound financial knowledge and understanding
• have successful management experience
• have exceptional organisational skills

As part of BSF the school has undergone an £8.5 million refurbishment so facilities are state of the art. Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). Please note that this position is whole time, which means that you will be in attendance at work all year round (52 weeks a year) and will have an annual leave entitlement (26 days if you have less than 5 years’ continuous local government service, 31 days if you have in excess of 5 years’ continuous local government service; pro rata for part time), which must be taken during school closure periods. During periods of school closure outside of your annual leave entitlement, you are required to be in attendance at work.
