The Trustees are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced School Business Manager with a range of proven skills to join our Academy. The successful candidate should ideally have a qualification in Business Management and/or Accountancy, and be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge or experience of working within a school or an academy. Diamond Hall Infant Academy is a three-form single academy trust with a highly successful nursery provision. The school has 360 pupils on roll of which 92 attend the academy’s nursery provision, within an age range of 2 to 7 years. Our children are happy and motivated to learn and are supported by a very dedicated team of staff.

The successful candidate will be a full member of the Senior Leadership Team, working in a busy environment, ensuring the smooth and successful running of the academy. The post is responsible for the strategic leadership, management and development of efficient financial, personnel, and support services and systems for the academy. The majority of services at the academy are delivered in-house and not subcontracted out therefore excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to deliver a high-quality service whilst under pressure. The successful candidate will make a direct contribution to improving the effectiveness of the academy whilst dealing with the complexities that confront the academy.

Application forms and further details for the above position are available by visiting our website www.diamondhallinfantacademy.co.uk. Completed applications should be returned to the Head Teacher via email to admin@diamondhallinfantacademy.co.uk. Please note CV applications will not be accepted.

Diamond Hall Infant Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to be fully committed to our safeguarding policies and procedures, in accordance with Sunderland Local Safeguarding Board Procedures.

In line with the guidance in Keeping Children Safe in Education, schools may carry out an online search as part of their due diligence on shortlisted candidates. Pre-employment checks and references will be sought before interview and the successful candidate will need to undertake an enhanced DBS check. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
