Durham is changing. Are you the right calibre of property professional to help enable this? If so, your future could be with Durham County Council.

Durham is one of the largest local authorities in the UK, with a vast and diverse estate consisting of over 2,000 assets, worth in excess of £1 Billion and located across 550,000 acres. We are currently looking to add to our existing Asset Management Team, in arenas including Property Management, Strategy, Acquisitions, Disposals, Capital Accounting and Valuation work. The Asset Management Team works across the whole County, in many areas, from leading the delivery of capital receipts, to supporting the delivery of the Durham Plan. They also assist with: strategic acquisitions; CPOs; developing property investment strategies; and, managing the council’s property portfolio.

Owing to the unique nature of our large and complex estate, we are able to offer a great variety of work to develop new and existing skills for the right dynamic candidates.

The roles will involve high profile more complex cases within a team primarily dealing with Acquisitions / Disposals together with some work in connection with estate management and valuation.

Applicants should be educated to degree level in a related subject together with a relevant professional qualification and membership of the RICS or equivalent appropriate professional body.

Interviews will be held on a date to be confirmed.
