The post is based at Civic Centre. The postholder will be expected to visit other locations and customer’s homes in the course of their work as required. They will need to work in an agile way in accordance with the demands of the post.

Temporary for 12 months
An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen within Learning Disabilities Service. This would be for 1 year and would be ideally suited to a social worker who would like to develop their knowledge and practise working with this client group.
The duties of the post include:-
:- Undertaking assessments, support planning and reviews.
:- Multi agency work and close partnership work with Customers, Carers and other professionals.
Successful candidates will have-
:- Excellent communication and social care assessment skills, plus a solid understanding of the relevant statutory frameworks, and best practice.
:- Ability to work as an individual and within a busy social work team
:- Ability to meet targets and deadlines, including management of Data Quality.
:- The desire and motivation to work closely with health partners and other professionals.
