Social Worker - Adult Services
1 x 37 hours temporary until 31/3/23 subject to the return of the substantive postholder

Job Location: Hybrid working between home and one of the locality teams however you may be required to work at any Council building.

VACANCY NO: AHS/21/378C

A temporary Social Worker is required in the Durham & Chester-le-Street Locality Team to ensure that the social care needs of people are fully assessed under the Care Act and that services are delivered, monitored and reviewed in accordance with the agreed care plan.

A sound knowledge and experience in Adult Social Care is required, along with good knowledge and experience of MCA.

Required qualifications: Professional qualification: Degree in SW, Dip SW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent, plus Social Work England registration.


The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.

**Covid-19 Vaccination
This role falls within the scope of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021. These Regulations require you to demonstrate that you have received a complete course of your Covid-19 vaccination, unless exemptions apply. A complete course may refer to one or two doses of the vaccine, depending on the type of vaccine. It does not cover booster doses. Extending the policy to cover booster doses would require amending the regulations and be subject to parliamentary approval.
