We are investing in social work in Newcastle. We are increasing our social work capacity and supporting our social workers to progress and develop their skills though training in systemic, Signs of Safety and social learning theory approaches.

This is an exciting time to join Newcastle City Council and be part of delivering first class social work for vulnerable children, young people and families. Building upon the strong track record we have already of delivering a high quality service in Newcastle, you will be actively involved in shaping our new approach to social work.

You must be dynamic, committed to providing excellent services and bring a comprehensive knowledge and skill-base to the challenge of working with vulnerable children and families. You will be an enthusiastic team player who is passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children in Newcastle.
