VACANCY REF: CYPS/17/117A

The Supervised Contact Service has part time permanent Supervised contact worker vacancies . The workers supervise contacts between families at a range of venues across County Durham .

The supervised contact worker will use observation and assessment skills to provide detailed and accurate records and reports to support Safeguarding Social Workers in their work with vulnerable children, their families and/or carers.

The successful candidates will be required to represent the service at a range of forums including case conferences; reviews and court.

A comprehensive induction and training programme is available.

Essential Qualifications:
NVQ level 3 (Childcare and Education or Early Years Care and Education)
OR
NNEB/CACHE Diploma (Childcare and Education) or BTEC/EDEXEL (Childhood Studies - Nursery Nursing)
OR
Early Years Teaching Certificate or equivalent relevant qualification.

Current driving licence/car owner or access to a means of mobility support. (If driving must have current valid driving licence and appropriate insurance)
