Are you an inspirational science teacher who is looking for an opportunity to work in an exciting and innovative department within a collaborative and ambitious school? If so, this is an excellent opportunity for you to join this forward-looking Academy in south-east Northumberland, where you will be supported to develop your career at the same time as making a difference to the lives of our students and community.

The development of creative approaches to teaching and learning within Science has resulted in excellent results at GCSE and A Level, and we are currently looking to complement the team in Science with the addition of two more teachers. You will make a great addition to the team if you are committed to delivering the best teaching, learning and assessment opportunities for our students and are capable of inspiring and motivating others through your passion for Science.

The successful candidates will demonstrate that they are capable of delivering consistently excellent classroom teaching and learning, and that they are energetic, enthusiastic, creative and resilient. A knowledge of current educational thinking and strategies to raise attainment is expected, alongside the experience of having taught to GCSE level and the ability to teach to A Level. You will be based at our Josephine Butler Secondary Campus in attractive facilities which deliver an exciting Science curriculum.

We are looking for staff who want to be part of a vibrant school community, where each member is valued and where all can let their light shine. If you feel that this describes you, then please join our Academy and make that difference a reality.

If you would like to visit the Academy to see it in action and explore the opportunities we offer for staff, please contact Tracey Cook, HR Manager at tracey.cook@ncea.org.uk or 01670 816111 to arrange this.

Your completed application form and supporting information should be returned to Tracey Cook at the above address.
