A primary school in Durham is working with First Class Supply to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to work in their reception class on a full time basis starting from April 2017.

Your duties will be to assist the class teacher with activities, give additional support to small groups or pupils on a one to one basis. Your numeracy and literacy skills must be of a good standard as you will be helping pupils with reading, writing and mathematics.

Successful applicants will:
  • Have experience of working within a school as a teaching assistant
  • Be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
  • Have the ability to motivate and engage children
  • Be able to work independently using your initiative
  • Have a minimum of 6 months recent experience within a UK setting
  • Hold a full and relevant level 3 or equivalent qualification in a relevant child care discipline.
