A partner primary school to First Class Supply, located to the south of Sunderland, would like to source Teaching Assistants for a range of positions. Daily and longer term opportunities are available, with the school looking to develop a supply of regular, local staff for additional support.

Roles are available for a range of full and part time hours, meaning we are able to provide you with a position that suits your lifestyle. For those interested in longer term positions, we will be happy to discuss potential roles. This is also an excellent opportunity if you are seeking permanent employment as introductions to new schools often leads to future positions.

This is a large school with well in excess of 400 pupils aged 3-13. Since converting to an academy, the strategic vision which has been implemented has been instrumental in bringing about improvements in teaching and achievement. Pupils’ behaviour is outstanding and reflects the excellent way in which the academy promotes their social and moral awareness. Progress and achievement across the school are very good with pupils displaying good attitudes to learning.

To apply for a position you must:

be able to use your initiative to work independently with small groups of children
be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises
have recently qualified or have experience in a nursery setting, which has given you an up to date knowledge of pre school care and education requirements
hold a relevant child care qualification at Level 2 or above.
