A partner primary school to First Class Supply, located to the south of Sunderland, would like to urgently appoint a Teaching Assistant. The role will be on an ongoing basis, supporting a Year 1 pupil with complex needs, on a full time basis.

This is a large school with in excess of 400 pupils aged 3-13. Since converting to an academy, the strategic vision which has been implemented has been instrumental in bringing about improvements in teaching and achievement. Pupils’ behaviour is outstanding and reflects the excellent way in which the academy promotes their social and moral awareness. Progress and achievement across the school are very good with pupils displaying good attitudes to learning.

To apply for the position you must:

have experience of working with children with a range of special needs and who require additional support
be able to work independently using your initiative
have empathy, patience and understanding
have a minimum of 6 months recent experience within a UK school or education setting.
