We are a safeguarding school. Children at Birtley East are taught how to keep themselves safe, including identifying harmful behaviour and how to seek help when they feel unsafe. All staff at our school are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people.

The Governors and Headteacher of this happy, successful school are seeking an enthusiastic and hard working TA who will work mainly in Foundation Stage. The successful candidate will:

* Have relevant skills and experiences with children within this age range
* Be able to support children with a variety of learning needs
* Have a good understanding of child development
* Be able to work within a cohesive and dedicated team, playing a positive role in delivering intervention and supporting the education of our pupils

In return, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a dedicated, professional and talented staff team in a supportive environment with children who are enthusiastic, fully engaged in their learning and who enjoy coming to a school they are very proud of.

If successful you will need to apply for an enhanced Disclosure.
