We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant who is passionate about education and understands the importance of students receiving excellent teaching and support to achieve their potential.

We are looking for an energetic and committed professional with a proven track record of supporting students with SpLD both in the class as support and as lead within small group interventions and classes. You will be an ambitious professional with a detailed knowledge of Key Stage 1 and 2 subjects able to differentiate the secondary curriculum to meet personalised levels of academic ability and need within a secondary setting. The role represents a fantastic opportunity to make a real positive impact on the achievement and life chances of some of our most vulnerable learners.

The role involves supervising and assisting small groups of students in activities, developing student's academic and social skills, and ultimately supporting the inclusion of all children. The successful candidate will assist the classroom teacher with the implementation of lessons and make it possible for more ambitious learning activities to be used in the classroom. You will also be required to work independently outside the classroom with small groups of students. In order to do this, you will also possess the necessary skills and experience to plan, deliver and evaluate learning experiences highly personalised and appropriate to need.

The successful candidate will join a highly successful team supporting students with a range of special educational needs. As a member of this team you will have access to a range of professional development opportunities through both internal and external training.

We are looking for:
- An experienced professional with a successful track record of working with young people with
SpLD.
- A dynamic and strong team player who can network and build good relationships with colleagues,
parents and young people, yet work independently and to a high standard when required.
- An organised person with experience of effective classroom support including planning, delivering
and reviewing appropriate learning experiences for students with SpLD.

We offer you:
- The chance to work in a supportive environment and the opportunity to put your ideas into
practice.
- Opportunities to work with and alongside colleagues from a wide range of secondary subjects.
- Opportunities to be creative and 'think outside the box' in order to achieve positive outcomes for
students.
