A partner First School to First Class Supply, based in Alnwick, is looking for a Qualified Teaching Assistant, who is experienced working across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2. The position requires both whole class support, and working with individual pupils on a 1:1 basis. This is a full time post, however a part-time job share may be considered.
This is a small, rural school located near to the coast which has been recognised as Outstanding. The school is well led with clear direction. Teaching is excellent and pupils are challenged well. Both personal and academic development are well supported, and both behaviour and attendance are excellent.
To apply for this role you must:
• be able to use your initiative to work independently within classes, in addition to 1-1 and small group work
• be pro-active, enthusiastic, energetic and reliable
• be flexible to work at short notice as and when the need arises
• have recently qualified or have experience in a teaching assistant role, which has given you an up to date knowledge of the UK National Curriculum
• hold a relevant child care or education qualification at Level 3 or above.
