This is an exciting time to join Northumberland as we launch a bespoke training Academy with a comprehensive development programme, for Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSW’s).

We have developed an innovative model which will also provide NQSW’s with a high quality Assessed and Supported Year in Employment.

We are looking for a Team Manager who is a committed professional, determined to support and develop newly qualified social workers towards excellence.

* You will be a dynamic individual with a proven track record as a Team Manager.
* You will always want to hear the child’s voice and ensure that this is taken into account.
* You will have an extensive knowledge base in social work practice, displaying positive role modelling as a manager and Practice Educator by continually nurturing, developing and leading a team 7 social workers.
* You will be able to take a key role in planning, developing and improving services.
* You will have a sound knowledge base of the Signs of Safety approach; the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Child and Family Social work and the application of the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) which will be embedded within all elements of practice.
* You will ensure supervision is reflective, while case managing effectively.
* You will be passionate about maximising a child’s life chances to improve their overall outcomes.
* You will care enough to want to make a difference - every day.

You will hold a relevant social work qualification such as the Social Work Degree, DipSW, CQSW or CSS and be registered with the HCPC. You will have a minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience.
