Darlington’s Transport and Capital Projects division is responsible for the improvement and maintenance of the highway network that includes roads, footways, bridges and structures and public rights of way and has several vacancies in the Highway Design and Highway Maintenance teams as follows:

Highway Network Management (Highway Design – 3 vacancies):
As part of a team you will be involved in the management and improvement of the highway network to encourage the efficient use of our roads and support economic growth, including the design and implementation of a wide range of highway and traffic management schemes and contracts. Highway Asset Management (Highway Maintenance – 1 vacancy):
As part of a team you will be involved in the design and implementation of a wide range of highway maintenance schemes and contracts and providing input to the highway asset management processes and works under Sections 38 and 278 of the Highways Act 1980.
