Further Information
Hartlepool Borough Council is looking to add to its casual register of sessional tutors/assessors. Suitable candidates will hold a full teaching/assessing qualification, English and Maths qualifications at Level 2 and a relevant subject qualification at a minimum of level 3.

For Maths, English and ESOL positions, applicants must hold a subject specialist qualification at Level 4/5 as well as a teaching qualification.
Should you be successful in being appointed to the casual register, you will be notified of suitable fixed term opportunities as they arrive. Daytime, evening and weekend classes may be available.

There are opportunities within a range of accredited and non accredited programmes in areas including Functional Skills, GCSE, Apprenticeships, Traineeships, Family Learning, Community Learning, Work Based Learning.
Although we welcome applications from suitably qualified candidates to deliver a broad range of subjects, we currently have opportunities for qualified tutor/assessors in the following areas:

- English for Speakers of Other Languages
- Modern Foreign Languages

- L2 Children and Young Peoples Workforce

Please outline which subject areas you are able to teach within your application.
Please note if you are invited to interview, you will be required to deliver a 10 minute micro teach on a topic of your choosing.
Candidates will need to be flexible in the days and times of delivery of course programmes to suit the needs of the learners and the service.
