The five Tees Valley Local Authorities have developed a project, funded by money from the European Social Fund (ESF), to reduce the unemployment levels of young people in the sub region. Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council have been awarded a contract to help deliver the project through to July 2018.

A small team of YEI Advisers will engage with young people to support them into job related training and ultimately into employment. A part time Business Administration Assistant is required to support the Advisers with their role. The hours of work will be 18.5 per week Monday to Friday (but there may be some flexibility in the exact hours worked).

The exacting demands of ESF contracts require that the post holder must have well-honed administrative and numerical skills and the ability to organise and control very detailed paperwork and comprehensive evidence files.

The post holder must have strong organisational skills and the ability to work to very challenging work deadlines.
