Youth Support Worker £16,851 - £19,500 per annum Initially 12 months, and renewable dependent on funding We have a full time vacancy for a Youth Support Worker, to work at Youth Focus: North East. We are looking for an experienced and qualified (minimum NVQ Level 3) practitioner who can work with young people and partner organisations, to coordinate, deliver and develop a number of programmes, including the Youth Employment Initiative (YEI) programme, primarily based in the Tees Valley area. As the Youth Support Worker, you will work closely with young people to devise, develop and deliver a range of opportunities to young people, particularly in the Tees Valley. To achieve this, you will work alongside our Programmes Officer to coordinate and deliver our existing programmes with young people, particularly those with complex needs and facing barriers such as unemployment, leaving prison, or mental health problems. The Youth Support Worker role is one in which you will get to use a full range of skills that make you a successful practitioner with young people. We are looking for the right person who can engage with young people, support their development and successful transition to adulthood and foster positive relationships with our partner organisations. The post will be based primarily in the Tees Valley area and will include a minimum one day a week at our main office in Gateshead.
