Further Information
We require an experienced construction orientated team leader who has experience of managing in-house and external contractors working on planned and responsive maintenance in housing stock. You will preferably have a trade background but we would welcome applicants with a building surveying degree or HND in building surveying. You will have the ability to produce programmes of work using IT applications and experience of contract management would be an advantage.

You must have a good standard of education to NVQ Level 4 or equivalent with an in depth working knowledge of the main operational, procedural and practical issues relating to a repairs and maintenance service delivery team. You should have an understanding of the key health and safety issues along with experience of managing finance and staffing resources to deliver services within agreed budgets. A relevant management qualification or construction trade qualification would be desirable. You will also be required to provide holiday and sickness cover for 3 area responsive repairs team leaders each of which manage a multi-trades delivery team of 20 plus operatives.
Travel to work sites, area offices throughout the County on a routine basis is required therefore you must be able to meet the transport requirements and further afield on occasion. Occasional evening, weekend, emergency call out work and Bank Holiday working will be required.
