The Governing body of this small but extremely successful, proactive Primary School, set in rural Northumberland, seeks to appoint a highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our team from January 2018. The successful applicant will work under the guidance of the class teacher to implement agreed work programmes for individuals and groups, in or out of the classroom. They will be required to undertake whole class supervision.
Governors seek an individual who;
Has an outstanding record of working well within a team demonstrating enthusiasm, use of initiative and a positive attitude
Has an NVQ 3 for teaching assistants or equivalent with experience of impacting on the learning of children in a primary school setting
Can actively promote inclusive practice within the classroom setting to ensure learning for all children
Can encourage the children to engage in and participate in learning activities led by the class teacher through positive behaviour management
Can attend to the personal needs of the pupils including the implementation of personal learning programmes that may include social, health, physical, emotional and cognitive objectives
This post is a variable hours contract between 20 hours and 35. Initially for 32.5 hours per week.
Successful applicants will receive the Northumberland Living Wage Supplement in addition to their basic salary.
This is a Permanent post
